Beginning with ProFile TY2011, our software includes a new codebase to increase its capability, flexibility and potential. These updates require Microsoft®.NET Framework 4.0 in order to run successfully.

Important: Unlike previous taxation years, the first time you install a version of ProFile for the 2011 taxation year, you must download and install a full version of ProFile as described in Download & Installation below.

As part of this reinstallation, you might be asked to download and install the Microsoft® .NET Framework 4.0 (if you don't already have it). The .NET Framework must be installed before you install ProFile 2011. If you do not first install Microsoft .NET 4.0, ProFile 2011 will not install properly.

To download and install ProFile 2011:

1. Click here to download the ProFile installation file (gpsetup.exe) from our website and save it to your desktop. Depending on your browser's security settings, you might need to confirm the download.

2. Double-click gpsetup.exe (or right-click and select Run As Administrator if you have Windows® 7 or Windows Vista®).

   Important: If you are prompted to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0, install the .NET Framework first and then restart your computer. After restarting, you might have to run gpsetup.exe again to continue the installation.

3. Enter your new license information, which can be found on your purchase receipt.

The Microsoft® .NET Framework 4.0 is a programming infrastructure created by Microsoft® for building, deploying, and running applications and services that use .NET technologies, such as desktop applications and Web services.
