Add the People you do business with

To get back to the Add Information screen in the future, go to Home and click the Green Quick Start Centre button at the top right of the screen. Then, click the Return to Add Info link at top right.

If you choose to add the people you do business with during the Company file setup, you will see the following screens.

Choose the option that fits your needs. If you have a list of contacts from Outlook that you wish to import, select the line " Import from Outlook". If you have contacts in your Gmail account, select "Import from Gmail". See the pattern?

If you wish to manually enter the contacts, or your list is in Excel, you can select "Paste from Excel or Enter Manually". Clicking continue without selecting anything will take you to the Excel/Manual entry screen shown below. You can enter as much or as little information as you wish.

Paste From Excel / Enter Contacts Manually

Once you have finished entering your business contacts, click Continue.

Once the people you do business with have been entered, you will be brought back to this screen. It will show how many entries you made, and if any entries are invalid.

At the bottom of the screen is an option to enter Opening balances for any of the Business contacts you entered. Click Enter Opening Balances if you want to show an opening cash balance for a business contact. More on this section can be found below.

If you don't want to enter opening balances, click Continue.

Add Opening Balances

If you selected Enter Opening Balances, you will be brought to the following screen:

  1. Enter the Opening Balance and Opening Balance Date in the fields listed. You should have a line for each Business Contact you entered in the previous screens.
  2. Click Continue when you have finished entering all opening balances.
  3. Once finished, you will be brought back to the page where you chose to add the opening balances. Click Continue to finish.
