The Manage Sales Tax window pulls together all the tasks related to managing your sales tax for you. Instead of having to go to different access points in your software to get at sales tax features, now all you have to do is remember one window: the Manage Sales Tax window.

The Manage Sales Tax window is located under the Sales Tax menu. From this window you can do the following tasks:

• Tax accounts and payments - in this section, you can remit your sales tax to the government, and run reports such as  the Tax Agency sales tax return reports. Why am I asked 'Do you make GST / PST instalment payments?
• Adjust your tax that is owning - click the Adjust Tax Owing button to open the Sales Tax Adjustment window where you an make changes to your sales tax amounts. You might need to do this, for example, if you make instalment payments, or you need to write of a portion of your sales tax due to a bad debt.
• Tax codes and rates - here you can see from a graphical view point how your sales tax items and purchase tax items are set up. Doublie-click on an entry in the tables, and you'll be able to edit the sales tax item.
• Change tax setup - click the Change Tax Setup button to open the Sales Tax Code Setup Wizard. This wizard steps you through the most common situations that require you to change your sales tax setting such as adding another provincial sales tax, updating an existing sales tax code when the rate changes, or adding another rate to an existing tax such as a home sales rate.
