How do I efile my GST return?

When your GST/HST return is ready to file, you can send it electronically to CRA directly from QuickBooks.

To send your file through QuickBooks via the internet:

  1. From the File Sales Tax window, click the File Return button.
  2. On the next screen, select File Online.
  3. QuickBooks steps you through the process of filing online. You must have the 4 digit access code issued by the CRA to file your return this way. Click here for more information on how to locate your access code.

Don't forget to send your payment:

  • After filing your return, don't forget to send in your payment (if required) to the CRA. You can either make a payment through your financial institution, or you can send your payment by mail. Important: If you are sending your payment by mail be sure to attach Form RC158-GST/HST Netfile/Telefile Remittance Voucher. Click here for more information on this form.
