Where is my original company file and my upgraded company file?

If you're looking for your original company file on your old version of QuickBooks, it's in the same location it was originally saved. The original QuickBooks company file isn't changed during upgrading.

If you're looking for your upgraded company file, QuickBooks now saves this file in this default location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\(Shared) Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files. Note: Windows XP users will see the folder "Shared Documents" but QuickBooks and Windows displays the folder only as "Documents" in paths and addresses.

If you chose a different file location for your upgraded company file, navigate there to find it. If you are still having trouble finding your file, press the F2 key and look in the File Information box. The location of your company file is listed.
