Important Information about the QuickBooks Community Forums

You might be noticing a new look and layout for the QuickBooks Canada community. We have switched over to a new QuickBooks Global Community with new features and access to some of the best accounting support in North America.

There are going to be some minor changes associated with the transition that might affect your account profile during the transition process. Please read below to understand how the changes will affect you.

  1. You will be required to create a new account. To ensure your previous posts/replies are available in the new Community, we highly recommend that you sign up using the exact same e-mail address that you have been using on the previous Community site.
  2. To register for the new Community, visit http://community.intuit.com/quickbooks/canada, and click Register in the top right corner of the site.
  3. On the Registration page, you will be asked to create an Intuit ID and password to be used for logging in to the Community. We recommend you use your e-mail address as the Intuit ID, though this is left up to the user to decide.
  4. The next step will be to choose a Community Screen Name. The screen name will be your display name in the Community and will be applied to your posts and replies. You can select your existing username to be your new screen name, though you are joining an existing community, so there is a chance that your current Community screen name will not be available in the new community. To protect your privacy, we advise that you do NOT use your Intuit User ID or email as a screen name.
  5. If you are required to select a new Screen Name, it will not affect your current posts from migrating over to your new community account. We use the e-mail address from the previous Community site to map your new  user account.
  6. After you have selected a Screen Name on the new Community Site, you will receive a Welcome E-mail. On the Welcome E-mail, you will be given a choice to authorize Intuit to find your posts from the old Community website and link them to your new screen name on the new site. This is an optional choice. If you do not wish to have your old posts and replies brought over to the new Community, do not click the link in the Welcome E-mail regarding the previous Community posts.
