How can I change the date format in Quicken?

Windows 7 users

  1. With Quicken closed, click on Start and then Control Panel.
  2. Click on Clock, Language, and Region (Green text).
  3. Click on Change the date, time or number format line (Blue text).
  4. Select the date format you wish to see from the Short Date format drop down menu.
  5. Click on Apply and then OK to save the change. Close all remaining windows to return to your desktop.

             Note: Changing the Windows date format will affect all programs on your computer - not just Quicken.

Windows XP and Vista Users

The date format in Quicken is taken from the Windows regional settings.

  1. With Quicken closed, click on Start and then Control Panel. (You may need to select Settings in order to access the Control Panel menu.
  2. Select Regional and Language Options (or Regional Settings.)
  3. Click the Customize button, then click on the Date tab.
  4. Select the date format you wish to see from the Short Date format drop down menu.
  5. Click on Apply and then OK to save the change.

    Note: Changing the Windows date format will affect all programs on your computer - not just Quicken.
