Can I use last year's version of QuickTax to do my taxes for this year?

No, you cannot use last year's tax software to complete a return for the current tax year.

Due to changes to the tax laws and forms, a new version of TurboTax is released for each new tax year. For example: To prepare your taxes for 2010, you would need TurboTax 2010.

To use TurboTax Online for the 2010 tax year, http://turbotax.intuit.ca/tax-software/online-tax-software.jsp.

To purchase a TurboTax CD/Download for the 2010 tax year, http://turbotax.intuit.ca/tax-software/quicktax-download-cd.jsp.

If you need to prepare your tax return for a previous tax return, see the article Can I still buy QuickTax for previous tax years?
