To claim medical expenses on your federal return and not on your Québec provincial return:
- If you are using the EasyStep interview, click the Go to Forms button on the right side of your screen.
- Click on the Forms button in the Toolbar to open the Form Lookup window.
- In the Keyword to search for field, type QMed and then click OK.
The Québec Medical Expenses worksheet (QMEDICAL) opens. - Locate the expenses that you don't want to deduct on your provincial return.
- Click on the amount paid and press F2.
TurboTax asks if you want to override the entry. - Click Yes.
- Enter 0.00.
