How can I enter a medical expense on my federal return, but not on my Québec TP1?

To claim medical expenses on your federal return and not on your Québec provincial return:
  1. If you are using the EasyStep interview, click the Go to Forms button on the right side of your screen.
  2. Click on the Forms button in the Toolbar to open the Form Lookup window.
  3. In the Keyword to search for field, type QMed and then click OK.
The Québec Medical Expenses worksheet (QMEDICAL) opens.
  4. Locate the expenses that you don't want to deduct on your provincial return.
  5. Click on the amount paid and press F2.
TurboTax asks if you want to override the entry.
  6. Click Yes.
  7. Enter 0.00.
